Desktop suite or browser clinic? An honest comparison

The classic homeopathy suites are libraries of rare depth: dozens of repertories, a hundred or more materia medica volumes, expert systems built around named teachers, sometimes veterinary modules and several interface languages. They install on your machine and run fully offline — no connection, no problem — and for a college library, or a practitioner whose work leans on breadth of sources, that shelf in software form is hard to beat.

If those are your daily needs, buy one. We are not going to pretend otherwise: our library is three classical repertories — Kent-based, Bönninghausen and Boger — and five materia medica works, and we do not yet work offline. Both facts are on the comparison page, in the rows we lose.

Everything that happens around the repertorization: the case file, the letterhead prescription with bilingual dosing on six designs, the slip going out as a real PDF on WhatsApp from your own number, the appointment book with SMS confirmations, reception logins that can book but never open a case file, numbered receipts and income insights.

And everything that happens after: structured follow-ups, per-symptom re-grading, direction-of-cure readings — and the personal layer. Library-only software cannot compute that, not for want of skill, but because it never sees the outcome.

• Offline: desktop suites, fully. hpills needs a connection; an offline reading mode is on the roadmap and stated as such.

Choose a desktop suite if your work needs its library breadth or a machine that never depends on the internet. Choose hpills if you run a clinic and want the repertory and the practice in one record — or simply want to start today at ₹0 and judge from inside.
